As an organization we are striving to meet the needs of those we serve: our patients, our visiting Christian Science nurses and other aspects of our activities.  We center our efforts on turning to God for guidance to meet each need, from the largest to the smallest.

A strong support in our work is the statement, “Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy – p. 494:10-11).  This encompassing statement applies to all that we do and wherever we are.

Recently when our organization needed additional money to meet our current needs, we thought about taking the money from our investments.  We had a number in mind that we needed.  We contacted our financial adviser and were making plans to free up the amount we needed.

Shortly after hanging up the phone, we received word that we were receiving a donation for the EXACT amount that we needed.  Naturally joy followed.  When we eagerly shared the news with our financial advisor, he said “I think that is remarkable news.” We shared Mrs. Eddy’s statement above with him and he was happy to learn of it.

This example of God’s abundance meeting our needs foreshadows divine Love meeting all our needs. We are grateful to see this more clearly.
