▶ Nursing Times Digital Forum: Supporting nurse involvement in digital transformation

This panel discussion was first broadcast live at the Nursing Times Digital Forum on 5 October 2022.

This panel brings case studies and ideas on how an organisation can ensure all nurses are supported in their involvement with technology development and implementation.

It also looks at how an organisation can seek advice from the nurses on the ward and community on how they would prefer to be engaged.

Speakers:

  • Chair: Steve Ford, editor, Nursing Times
  • Laura Burrowes, clinical development lead, digital health transformation service, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust
  • Professor Dave Thomas, interim director of nursing strategy and transformation and CNIO, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust
  • Helen Balsdon, head of digital nursing, NHS England

This panel discussion formed part of day two at the first-ever Nursing Times Digital Forum on 5 October 2022.

The virtual event took place for the first time on 4 and 5 October 2022, featuring two mornings of interactive speaker sessions, case studies and panel discussions.

Led by chief nurses, chief nursing information officers and clinical leaders across the NHS, the forum was designed to inspire and support all nurses and midwives to be proactively involved in the digital transformation of acute and community settings.
