Remote working and care co-ordination in district nursing
This video was first broadcast at Nursing Times Patient Flow Forum 2021.
Due to the challenges of Covid-19, it was evident that district nursing services had to adapt to continue to provide safe services to vulnerable patients in their own homes.
The session explores how the new ways of working were adopted. Themes covered include:
- Using technology for safe handovers and troubleshooting advice
- Establishing a care co-ordination team to triage callouts and support care home staff
- Showcasing how the new ways of working have release more capacity to meet increased demand
