Nursing Times has collected information on a series of free virtual courses and resources that are relevant to the Covid-19: Are You OK? campaign and being offered by a variety of organisations, unions and charities.

The charity Mind has created a useful and easy to digest page on its website called How to look after your mental health as a nurse.

It namechecks our survey from last year that revealed the negative impact the coronavirus is having on the mental health of nurses, with 90% of nurses feeling more stressed and anxious than usual.

The charity’s page sets out and explains six tips for looking after yourself in work, such as taking breaks, thinking about work-life balance and looking after your body during your shift.

It also recommends mentally preparing for a shift by working through a readiness checklist and regularly pausing to focus on how you are doing and potentially completing a wellness action plan.

In addition, the page noted that Mind has partnered with other leading mental health charities to provide round the clock support for those, like yourself, working against the coronavirus.

Our Frontline is a combination of 1-2-1 support and online resources for frontline workers to make sure you're putting your mental health first.
