Nursing Times has collected information on a series of free virtual courses and resources that are relevant to the Covid-19: Are You OK? campaign and being offered by a variety of organisations, unions and charities.
Unison’s learning and organising team has created a web page on learning for mental health and wellbeing with links to courses and support.
Some options can only be accessed by Unison members, such as the Staying Strong online course, which is based on the union’s popular stress awareness workshop.
However, the latter half of the page has some great resources that can be accessed more widely, for example, links to free courses on the Open University’s OpenLearn website.
- Unison learning for mental health and wellbeing web page
- Free OpenLearn courses for Mental Health Awareness Week
- Free OpenLearn courses on health, sports and psychology
Unison flags, in particular, courses on understanding depression and anxiety, work and mental health, journeying through wellbeing, and support nets to help others in need.
It also highlights an OpenLearn course on panic attacks and how to deal with them, and a related reading list on the same subject.
