Adapting a tissue viability education programme to online learning

Digital Edition: Adapting a tissue viability education programme to online learning

An in-person tissue viability education programme was redeveloped to be delivered online during the Covid-19 pandemic, increasing attendance and engagement.

Abstract

A tissue viability team redeveloped its staff education course to be delivered online during the Covid-19 pandemic. This increased course attendance, resulting in permanent changes to the way it delivers pressure ulcer prevention and wound care education. This included changes to the programme itself and, ultimately, adoption of a blended model of learning that provides more flexibility and accessibility for staff.
